What Slokas to chant at eclipse time

A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between Earth and the Sun, thereby obscuring Earth's view of the Sun, totally or partially. Such an alignment coincides with a new moon, indicating the Moon is closest to the plane of the Earth's orbit. In a total eclipse, the disk of the Sun is fully obscured by the Moon. In partial and annular eclipses, only part of the Sun is obscured.
If the Moon were in a perfectly circular orbit and in the same orbital plane as Earth, there would be total solar eclipses every new moon. Instead, because the Moon's orbit is tilted at about 5 degrees to Earth's orbit, its shadow usually misses Earth. Solar (and lunar) eclipses therefore happen only during eclipse seasons, resulting in at least two, and up to five, solar eclipses each year, no more than two of which can be total. Total eclipses are more rare because they require a more precise alignment between the centers of the Sun and Moon, and because the Moon's apparent size in the sky is sometimes too small to fully cover the Sun. Total solar eclipses occur rarely at a given place on Earth, on average about every 360 to 410 years.

Problems With State Control of Hindu Temples

In this J Sai Deepak latest, he explains the dangerous consequences of state control of Hindu Temples in India and why Hindu temples must be freed from state control.
Most Hindus are happy to tolerate the presence of the state in the temple as long as state does not interfere in their religious affairs. Most Hindus don't understand and live under the naive belief that the state will control only secular aspects. How is that even possible? If the money is in their hands, the ability and the power to appoint people to different positions is in their hands, your security is in their hands, how do you hope to have the freedom only with respect to religious affairs.
Because what you believe are the secular aspects, are the ones that give you the power to invest in the society. Money if it is secular, is the one that gives you the ability to invest in your community. So how can that essential aspect be in the hands of the government.
Sai Deepak also provides practical workable solutions to common Hindus as to what they can do to free Hindu temples from state control.

Why are 1000 crores spent on an idol ?

Samatha murthy idol is pioneer of developing religious tourism in India, which in turn attracts many tourists and spiritual seekers of sanathana dharma. Also its providing livelihood to many staff working there. So of course contributing to Indian economy by giving a strong message of equality. That idol does a 100% apt and useful work than useless workless fellows who have only work to comment and troll anyone just because youtube comment section is free. Praying to god that such fellows get good job soon and earn something for their family than sitting unemployed in my country, and recklessly commenting on some good works.
